The air gap drip: a drain-line problem in a faucet costume

An air gap faucet carries three tubes, not one. Purified water rises through the first; membrane wastewater rises through the second, spills across an open chamber inside the faucet body, and falls by gravity into a third tube headed for the drain. The catch: that falling water needs an unobstructed downhill path. Work the path in order: pull the 3/8" line off the saddle and flush it with warm water or a pipe cleaner; confirm the saddle's port lines up with the drilled hole and its gasket isn't pinching it; re-run the tubing so it falls continuously, no dips or loops. Keep the run short, above the P-trap, never into a disposal port. Stiff, yellowed tubing gets replaced.
